Celebrating Tribeca Film Festival at our New York Houses

A highlight in the film world’s calendar, the Tribeca Film Festival gathers the best storytellers, talent and industry insiders in New York to celebrate the most exciting upcoming releases – with a number of screening afterparties taking place at our Houses in the city. 
 
Across Ludlow House and Soho House New York, we were joined by the teams behind three documentaries premiering at the festival: Desire: The Carl Craig Story, Group Therapy and It Was All A Dream.

Desire: The Carl Craig Story afterparty, Soho House New York 
Part of our Soho Presents series, hosted in partnership with Bacardí, we celebrated the premiere of Desire: The Carl Craig Story, an exploration of the techno producer’s career and impact across dancefloors from Detroit to London. With an appearance from the man himself, guests gathered in the garden of Soho House New York to enjoy sets from Moodymann and DJ Minx, along with cocktails that included a Bacardí Old Fashioned, Bacardí Mojito and Bacardí Lemonade.

Group Therapy afterparty with Neil Patrick Harris, Ludlow House 
We hosted a party at Ludlow House following a screening of documentary film, Group Therapy, which sees comedians including Tig Notaro and Nicole Byer sit down with Neil Patrick Harris for a candid conversation about comedy, success and mental health. Patrick Harris joined us for the celebration, which featured music from DJ Mazurbate and a menu of Soho House signature cocktails such as the Casa Verde and Picante.

It Was All A Dream afterparty, Soho House New York
The team at Soho House New York also welcomed American filmmaker and producer dream hampton for a celebration following the premiere of her visual memoir, It Was All A Dream. Reflecting on Hampton’s career as a music journalist in the 1990s – often considered the golden age of hip-hop – the film explores some of the genre’s most celebrated talents, from Snoop Dogg to The Notorious B.I.G. Guests were treated to a hip-hop-filled evening with a soundtrack provided by DJ Stretch Armstrong.
